YP'S MAKING A DIFFERENCE
Meet some of your fellow YP's who support local nonprofits in a variety of ways from volunteering, to serving on a board, to starting their own nonprofit.
These YP's have shared their personal stories about how getting involved in our community has impacted their lives, and give their advice for how to best get started.
Meredith Dean
Meredith Dean is a well-known local influencer and the founder of the Dean's List. She has enjoyed volunteering with her family in Africa and domestically since she was young.
Tara West
Tara West met her best friend, and eventual business partner, while volunteering at the Ronald McDonald House.
Jonathan Garder
Jonathan Gardner works as a marketing professional and is also the founder of Gardhouse, a nonprofit dedicated to helping college students of color find employment post-graduation through local minority-owned businesses.
Nathan Smith
Nathan Smith works for RAIN, a local nonprofit (featured on the 'Meet Nonprofits' page) and is motivated by the change his organization makes in the community.
Jack Riazzi
Jack Riazzi works at Beacon Partners and volunteers with Heart Math Tutoring and enjoys spending his lunch hour making a difference in a child's life.
Sam Smith
Sam Smith is the Director of External Engagement at United Way of Central Carolinas and also cofounded a nonprofit with several of his friends to provide suits and job interview training for men from underserved communities.
Kristin Prentice
Kristin Prentice has volunteered on the board of Promising Pages for 5 years because she cares about making sure all kids have access to books.
Krystal Parr
Krystal Parr started as a volunteer with the Humane Society and now serves on the Young Affiliates Board for the Humane Society.

Tekoa Silva is a U.S. Bank employee who has a heart for giving back to the community.
